About

I am a 23 year old web developer. So what exactly does a web developer do? I’m not sure, I guess I do a little bit of everything.

Making websites has been a passion of mine ever since I uploaded my first page 10 years ago at the age of 12. I developed a great interest in how sites work from every angle, obtaining advanced skills with both the design and coding aspects at an early age. I had my first successful (10,000+ uniques/day) site at the age of 15 and have orchestrated a number of popular projects since, chances are you’ve been to and used at least one or two of them.

So how did I learn? You being on my website is a good start if you want to go about it the same way as I did. The internet taught me everything I know about making sites. I learn as I go, there’s enough knowledge on the web now to properly educate anyone who knows how to look for what they need.

I initially thought of this site so that I could have an easily accessible location to archive and retrieve cool things I’ve picked up, I decided to make it public and elaborate on each post to help others at the same time. I hope you find my blog useful.

  2. Greetings!

I found your site through dailyblogtips.com, where they wrote up your CSS coder. I do have a question for you; maybe you can tell me what I missed.

I have a blog that has a dark theme, and after reading a bit about blog design (and talking to my ‘aging’ parents), I’ve realized that it can be hard to read (black background, medium grey lettering). I was going to change it completely, until I came across the Manaical Rage blog, where the site had a link that said ‘invert colors’ . I thought ‘Cool! Exactly what I need!’ The code on that site wasn’t helpful in figuring it out, other than there were two background gif files that swap out when the link is clicked.

So, I google it, and after two weeks of searching, I come across the correct search term and find a free script [http://javascript.internet.com/image-effects/background-color-changer.html]. But I can only get it to work in TextEdit. I can’t get it to work on my blog, even after following the directions … grrrr!

So, I’m thinking that I’ve missed something; easy enough to do, since I’m reverse engineering, not actually writing original code. Or perhaps I’m just putting it in the wrong areas of my page code, because I get the buttons to show, but they don’t work. Bleh.

    [banging head against desk]

    Please help… please?
