I have been using hostgator for a year now and i have had no down times except once. That time contacted support and they restarted the server immediately.I don't know if my baby plan can handle a handle a digg effect. But i have different sites on this host and they all receive about 2000 visits a day and i have had no problems. As my friends say hostgator is better than godaddy from they personal experience.
